William Howard School was formally awarded a re-accreditation at the Young Money ‘Centres of Excellence’ conference in Birmingham on 14 November. The event, held by the financial education charity Young Money, celebrated schools and colleges who are committing to developing and continuing excellence in financial education. The aim of the Centres of Excellence programme is to support practical, effective and sustainable financial education for young people in schools.
At the conference, Martin Lewis from MoneySavingExpert.com talked about the launch of the ‘Your Money Matters’ financial education textbook. As a Centre of Excellence School, William Howard contributed to the input for these books and 100 copies have been delivered to school for use in PD and maths lessons.
