Year 10 Geologists visited Edinburgh on Tuesday. After a whistle stop tour of Holyrood Park and it’s geological formations (including an extinct volcano) we visited the popular attraction – Dynamic Earth.
First we had a tour though the history of the Earth, including getting to touch a real iceberg, followed by an amazing superdome movie about supervolcanoes. We ended the day with an interactive workshop on volcanoes where we fought to survive an imminent eruption. Lots of great knowledge to help with our course and a fun day overall!
