Geographers Investigate the Silloth Coastline

Year 11 Geography students have been battling some interesting weather over the past few weeks to undertake fieldwork for their GCSE Geography.

As part of their coursework they are examining how some parts of the West Cumbrian coast are being managed. They have been carrying out field investigations at Silloth to find out what effects coastal processes are having on the coastline; and why humans strive to ‘manage’ and control the coastline.
