Our annual Sports Day was held yesterday, with a slightly different format to previous years. To ensure that students were actively engaged throughout the day, Years 7 and 8 competed in athletics and sports for two lessons, while Years 10 and 11 took part in special House Challenges during their usual timetabled lessons. The Year Groups then switched around for the following two lessons. Students chose between netball, football and rounders for the first half of their sporting sessions, before competing in their athletic events.
The competition was a House event, where participation and performance was rewarded and added to each house total.
William Howard Radio station was on-air throughout the day, with radio crews from Years 7, 8 , 9 and 10 broadcasting requests and commentary along the way.
