Over the course of last half term Year 8 students have been exploring a brand new topic in R.E. They have looked in depth at three religious statements of belief; the Christian Creed, the Muslim Shahadah, and the Jewish Shema. Together they have examined the content of these statements and evaluated how they are used by believers around the world today. The final lessons of the unit challenged students to identify what they believe exists in this world, if they consider that there are some actions which are always wrong or always right, and what the most important aspects in their life are. Using these they have developed their own ‘Creed’, and they have taken great pride in finding creative ways of representing these visually. We are tremendously impressed with what they have achieved!
