As usual, November brings the BEBRAS challenge to many students in Years 8 and 9. The Bebras Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students. It is organized in over 60 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. Last November over 365,000 students took part in the UK, and over 3 million worldwide. Each participant answer questions that focus on computational and logical thinking, and William Howard students invariably show themselves to be powerful competitors.
It was fabulous to see 21 of our students gain Gold at BEBRAS this year – our top two being Eduard and Steffi. Oxford Challenge here we come!
Eduard said: “Some of the questions looked difficult to begin with but once you tried them, they weren’t too bad.”
While Steffi commented: “It was fun!.”
