CUFC Crossbar Challenge

Representatives of the Year 9 and 10 Girls Football Team (Emma Kenyon, Ruby Campbell, Sienna Taylor, Chantelle Peart, Hannah Proud, Jess Foster and Anna Halliwell) along with Mrs Hill took on the crossbar challenge at the Carlisle United v Newport County match on Tuesday, 10 March.

During the challenge, Ruby managed to hit the crossbar twice with some near misses by the other girls. There was a great atmosphere as they were cheered on by WHS from the side-line, and Carlisle United beat Newport County 2-0.

This challenge was on the list of fifty tasks set by Year 11 students for Mrs Hill to complete this year as part of her upcoming 50th birthday celebrations. The ’50 before 50′ challenges have so far raised £250 for one of the WHS House charities; Eden Valley Hospice.
