Deciphering Poetry of Conflict

In English, Year 9 students explored a Ukrainian poem as part of their work on the ‘Poetry of Conflict’ unit. Students considered the impact of structural methods used by poets and had an experience of using translation tools – dictionaries, Google Translate and translation pens – to understand a text. Miss Kaminska (Ukrainian Learning Support Assistant) was on hand to help with translation too.
