A group of A Level English students and their teachers had a fantastic trip to London recently. An early start from Carlisle Station on Thursday meant they had time to fit in a visit to the British library, go on a boat trip, ride the London Eye and enjoy some shopping, all before seeing an evening performance of Wicked.
The following day was a day of Shakespeare and murder: they had a tour of the Globe, a lecture and workshop with a Globe actor followed by a phenomenal performance of Titus Andronicus. Then a quick walk up the Thames and a Jack the Ripper tour rounded off day 2.
Their final day in London involved a walking tour of the main sites with Martin, a blue badge tour guide. Trip leader, Mrs Sim remarked “As a group we are now ready to drop, but we have all had a great, interesting time!”
