Face Coverings in Communal Areas for Staff and Sixth Form Students

Following the government announcement on Tuesday, 23 September we have been reviewing our systems within school. The increased rate of transmission of COVID-19 country wide is something we all have a responsibility to be mindful of. To that end, from Thursday, 24 September it will mandatory for all staff and Sixth Form students, who move between the geographical year group bubble areas, to wear a face covering in communal areas.

The only students this affects are Year 12 and Year 13 who will occasionally cross other year groups in corridors. No other year group, at any point, cross over with others inside the building and therefore, are not mixing with anyone outside of their normal bubble.

Masks remain optional for all students in lessons if they wish to wear them and Sixth Form will not be required to wear them within their bubble area of the Sixth Form block.
