A group of Year 10 Geography students had a fieldwork trip to the Solway Coast on Friday (15th March). Mrs Magson said, “It’s been a really great day – no rain at all. We broadened the day to include trying lots of different techniques for the fieldwork paper, as well as collecting data for students’ own investigations.”
Further groups will be visiting the coastline this week. As part of the Geography GCSE, all students are required to complete two days of fieldwork. This trip focuses on physical geography and provides a chance for students to gain vital knowledge and experience in preparation for the ‘unseen fieldwork’ part of GCSE Geography Paper 3.
