Giving Nature a Helping Hand

The Open Spaces team have been challenged with a new project – to rewild the area behind the hill and the astro-turf pitch.

In preparation, the Year 7 Open Spaces Group set about tidying the area with a litter pick. In one hour they collected 13 large sacks of rubbish that included 129 plastic bottles, an old shovel, a Christmas hat, some very smelly PE socks, and several crisp packets – some of which were older than the Year 7 students themselves!

Excellent work Year 7! We look forward to seeing nature flourish again in this corner of the school.
