During Global Enterprise Week, Year 12 Business students visited Brampton to ask local business owners how they had adapted their business models for the cost of living crisis. We are very grateful to the business community for taking time to support our students.
One student said: “[From the branch of the Cumberland Building Society] my team learned that the of cost of living made the interest rate of loans increase. The building society had to be stricter on credit scores to reduce the risk of any loans.”
Meanwhile, in Year 9 Enterprise lessons, students learned about the qualities of an entrepreneur and applied this to a ‘The Apprentice’ style task of designing a new biscuit. Their ideas ranged from niche products such as biscuit golf balls, health biscuits and a biscuit linked to Jeremy Clarkson’s farm shop, to customised products including ‘biteful’ biscuits.
