A strong team performance this week from for WHS combined Year 7/8 girls 7-a-side hockey team. In a very tight match against Nelson Thomlinson School, WHS were beaten 4-3 in the final minutes of the game. Nevertheless, this was a fantastic performance, with some great team play and confident individual skills.
Special mention goes to Hattie Wheatcroft for her goal and to the ‘player of the match’ Aoife McAlister, who scored 2 goals and showed endless energy on the pitch. Great sportsmanship all round – Well done girls!
