House Tournament

On Thursday, 14 July the school timetable will be suspended and students will take part in a House Tournament across the school day.  Students will compete in a range of competitions, both inside and outside the classroom, gaining house points for the winners of each event.  These points will be totalled, and the House Cup will be awarded to the team with the most house points at the end of the day. The house points will be converted into a monetary amount and payment sent to the House Charity of the winning house.

The four House Charities that we are raising funds for are:

  • Acacia House – CFM Cash4Kids
  • Baobab House- Age UK Carlisle and Eden
  • Mpingo House – Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw
  • Ndizi House – Guide Dogs for the Blind

The dress code for Thursday is WHS PE kit.  If students have a T shirt in their house colour they can wear this instead with their PE kit shorts.

The competitions have been created with the Student Council, and we hope the students really enjoy the range of different competitions across the tournament.  Some are linked to subject knowledge, some active, some problem solving and some rely on team work.
