Sixth Form Business students took part in the Peter Jones Insight into Entrepreneurship event on Thursday, 19 November.
Via an online live workshop, students were set a challenge to make £500 to £5000 using a business idea. Their ideas ranged from vending machines for face masks in shopping centres; soft toys with a message for loved ones using an item of clothing; a 2020-themed board game; to setting up social media pages for local businesses. The students had to come up with their ideas, cost them and then record a 90 second “elevator pitch”.

Following this, they met the entrepreneur behind the business Stand4Socks, who explained their journey and offered students advice on how to run their own business.
