National Careers Week (NCW) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance in education across the UK aiming to provide a focus for careers guidance to help support young people and develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways. During National Careers Week all students took part in assemblies to find out about apprenticeships, T Levels and other post 16 options. They learned about part-time employment law to understand the types of jobs they can undertake from age 13, as well as work experience opportunities available from Year 10 onwards. Within lessons we had external speakers offering careers advice for targeted students, looking at labour market information for the local area and discussing future skills gaps.
