The WHS Open Spaces Group are very pleased and proud to be awarded a Local Community Charity prize from the Freemasonary East Lakes Group of Lodges. They were awarded with a cheque for £2000 to further their community work.
Glyn Titterington and Derek Donaldson visited the Open Spaces site yesterday afternoon and were given a guided tour by students.
Glyn Titterington, Chairman of East Lakes Group of Lodges said, “The tour made us realise (even though we knew before) what a really good decision it was to support your brilliant initiative. You deserve immense credit for the work you’ve put into the site over the last 11 years, and the education and experience you’ve given to numerous groups of pupils.”
Mrs Brereton who leads the Open Spaces group said, “We are so very proud of our efforts and immensely grateful to the Lodges for their prize. To be selected as top from 13 worthy causes is immensely encouraging.”
