A great effort was given by the boys at the Year 7 & 8 Rugby Development Festival at the Richard Rose Central Academy, last Wednesday. Scores weren’t kept as this event was primarily for development, but there were some particularly good performances from Benji Poland, George Mellor and Dominic Lauderman.
Meanwhile, it was a tough game for our Year 9 team against the strong side from Caldew School, last Thursday. There were great learning opportunities throughout the game though – tackling improved and organisation was beginning to show promise. Theo Lamont was a demon tackler and Harvey Gibson ran the kicking game well.
