Teacher of Maths (Vacancy Ref: WHST30)
Salary: MPS / UPS | Full-time | Permanent | Required as soon as possible
This is a really exciting opportunity to join William Howard School. The Maths department is a vibrant and dynamic team, teaching Maths from KS3 right through to A level. For the right candidate we could possibly offer a Key Stage 3 Co-Ordinator role in Maths. The subject is very popular at A level with growing numbers of students wanting to study post 16 and beyond. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to join our high performing team. The candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, reflective in their teaching practice and focused on getting the best from every student across all key stages of the secondary Maths curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
- Be qualified to degree level in Maths
- Possess a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Bed)
- Have thorough up-to-date knowledge of, and enthusiasm for the subject of Maths, including the latest developments
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills in a variety of contexts
- Be a collaborative team member
