William Howard’s teachers gathered after school on Monday (18th March) to celebrate the completion of their Departmental Projects. For the last few months, Departments have been working on a range of professional development projects, including: improving active engagement, live marking, strategies to improve reading and strategies to improve the impact of assessment. After some celebratory cake, colleagues visited department ‘stalls’ to explore the aim, action and impact of each project. A special well done to Drama, Science and English who won awards for the ‘best department ambassador’.
Assistant Headteacher, Mr Priddle said, “There was a real buzz in the room, it was wonderful to see colleagues talking so passionately about their projects.”
