NATIONAL WRITING DAY 24 JUNE 2020: #247 CHALLENGE


This is a nationwide celebration of the pleasure and power of creative writing. You will have 7 minutes to write a 24-word story or poem, starting “One day …”. YOUNG POETS AWARD 2020


THE FOYLE YOUNG POET OF THE YEAR COMPETITION is now open to anyone aged 11 to 17. It is FREE to enter and you can submit as many poems as you wish, but remember – quality is more important than quantity. This is a prestigious national competition, funded by the Foyles Foundation and supported by Arts Council England, and it offers a range of magnificent prizes, including a poetry writing residential course. All entrants will receive a certificate.
