This week marked the first WHS Mountain Runners session of the new academic year, and what a start it was!
Ms Pigdon said, “We were thrilled to see so many enthusiastic new faces from Year 7 joining our regular runners for an after school run of fresh air, fitness, and fun.”
Our first route of the year took us from Brampton Station to Talkin Tarn, a scenic 3-mile run that offered the perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment. After a lap around the outer woods of Talkin Tarn, we headed back to the minibus, feeling the sense of achievement that comes with a great run. The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic, and everyone pushed themselves to do their best.
There was a real buzz as we finished the session, with many students already looking forward to our next run, which will take us up Talkin Fell. It’s sure to be an exciting adventure!
If any students would like to join our weekly runs, please remember to collect a letter from Ms Pigdon. Whether you’re new to running or a seasoned runner, everyone is welcome to come along, challenge themselves, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes around us.
Here’s to another great year with WHS Mountain Runners!
