A huge thank you to all the families who came along to our Year 6 Open Evening last night.
Ms Pigdon, Headteacher said: “It was great to welcome so many of you and we appreciate the many kind comments you shared about our staff and students as you explored each area of the school.”
A large team of students were on hand throughout the evening to guide our visitors and help with activities and Ms Pigdon added: “It is always inspiring to see our current students speak with such pride about their school, showing politeness, kindness, and warmth throughout the evening. They truly demonstrate the values we strive for and help future students hopefully begin to feel that sense of belonging from the very start.”
Mrs Buckley, Transition Lead, agreed: “I would like to say a big thank you to all the students who took part in the evening. They represented our school with incredible pride and enthusiasm, speaking with genuine passion about their experiences. We are so proud of the way they welcomed our visitors and showcased what makes our school such a special place.”
We look forward to welcoming back the Year 6 children in September 2026 and hope they already feel a sense of belonging to the WHS community.
