Year 8 threw themselves into a brilliant day of culture at the Brontë Parsonage Museum on Wednesday.
After an interesting talk about the extraordinary Brontë sisters, the students headed out onto the windswept Moors, channelling their inner Emily as they searched for echoes of Cathy and Heathcliff in the landscape.
Back at the museum, they explored the very rooms where the sisters wrote, imagined, and grew up, before stopping by the church where the family is laid to rest. A quick dash to the gift shop for souvenirs rounded off the trip, before heading back to the coach.
The students were an absolute credit to the school, earning warm praise from the museum guide and several members of the public who were impressed by their excellent behaviour.
