We were extremely privileged to be able to welcome the Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, to our school on Thursday.
During his visit, Mr Bailey engaged with our Sixth Form Maths and Business students, discussing his role at the Bank of England and sharing insights into the current economic landscape. The students took the exceptional opportunity to ask questions about a wide range of important issues, including economic effects on farming and the impact of trading with Europe, post-Brexit.
Associate Assistant Headteacher and Careers Lead, Tracey Hill said: “We are incredibly grateful to Mr Bailey for taking the time to visit us and for providing our students with this valuable learning experience. His visit was a wonderful opportunity to connect real-world economics with classroom learning, and hopefully inspire future generations of economists and business leaders from William Howard School.”
