Our ‘Alumnus of the Month’ for June is Zack Millar. Zack left WHS in 2015 and feels that these years were some of the most exciting and challenging of his life. Personal highlights were making some great friends, visiting Tanzania and organising the Sixth Form ‘formal’ as Head Boy.
After school, Zack studied International Business and French at Newcastle University, spending one year in Toulouse, France as well as volunteering in several African countries on consulting projects.
On finishing university, he moved to Manchester to join an organisation specialising in recruiting Partner level talent across the US for a series of high-profile clients. As part of his role Zack manages their executive search team and sits on the Board of Directors. Zack recently applied for a visa and intends to move to Florida to set up their first international office.
Without the foundations and work ethic that William Howard and the teaching staff instilled in him, Zack believes he wouldn’t be in the position he is now. To anyone currently studying, Zack has these words of wisdom: “Work hard, make the most of all the opportunities on offer and the world becomes your oyster. A special thanks to all the staff at WHS for everything.”
