There was some real animal magic on Thursday after school when Siobahn and Ben from Pet Encounter Cumbria brought in a fascinating selection of animals for students to meet and learn about.
Skittles, a Panther chameleon; Darwin, a Sulcata tortoise; Jasper, a boa constrictor; Arnie, an armadillo; and Ben, a meerkat captivated the students (and staff) who were lucky enough enjoy the hands-on experience.
Thomas in Year 7 said: “The armadillo was my favourite. Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to see an armadillo in real life, and now I have!”
Ella said: “I liked the chameleon best. It was really pretty.”
