As members of Cumberland Youth Council, two of our Year 8 students, Phoebe and Abigail Story, suggested to Ms Pigdon that William Howard School should take part in Odd Socks Day. So, students and staff were asked to wear their wackiest socks to school on Tuesday 12 November. Prizes were awarded for the most innovative socks, best pattern clash and most unusual colour combination!
Phoebe and Abigail put together a powerpoint presentation that was shared during Tutor Time and said: “We hope that as many people as possible will wear odd socks to celebrate our unique differences and work together against bullying.”
