There was a relaxed but lively feel around school today for ‘Character Development Day’, when everyone took part in activities planned to promote our 9 Key Character Qualities (positivity, empathy, virtue, courage, passion, curiosity, independence, collaboration and honour).
School was a hive of activity, with options such as a DIY challenge making planters for the school entrance, Indian cooking, bush craft survival skills, photography and printing, a crime scene investigation, nail art, story crafting, Dungeons & Dragons, multi-sports and more.
Other activities on offer took the students further afield and included fishing, climbing at Eden Rock, singing in Brampton care homes, a 10 mile walk on the Wall, archery and canoeing at Talkin Tarn, exploring animals at Walby Farm Park and Jurassic Golf.
Staff remarked how nice it was to see the students so engaged and enjoying activities with their friends, without resorting to their mobile phones.
Thank you to the visitors who came in to run activities and to our amazing staff team who consistently go above and beyond for our students.
We’re looking forward to continuing the fun with tomorrow’s House Challenge Day!
