Each of our Houses – Eden, Gelt, Talkin and Vindolanda – had inspiring assemblies this week. In each one, a representative from the House’s charity came along to talk about the positive impact donations have made to the wider community. Our appreciation goes to Brampton Foodbank, Eden Valley Hospice, Oaktree Animal Centre and Mission Christmas for taking the time to speak to our students.
On Friday, Sara Oldham came in to promote Gelt’s appeal for Mission Christmas. We’re hoping to fill our trolley with suitable gifts for local teenagers, so if you can help, please send it your donations in time for George the Elf to collect on Monday 16th December. Thank you!
We have three different charity collections taking place in school during December:
- Eden Valley Hospice Appeal – We’re asking for second-hand books, toys and gifts. Please drop items next to the trolley in Reception or in E10. Monday 16 December is the date they will be collected from school.
- Great North Air Ambulance Appeal – Clothing, shoes, handbags, mobile phones, etc please! Donation bags can be collected from reception and dropped off in Media. These will be collected on Friday 13 December.
- Mission Christmas Appeal – Gifts for teenagers. NEW items please, such as games, pyjamas, stationary, make-up, headphones, books. These will be collected by Elf George on Monday 16 December.
Thank you to all those who have donated items so far.
