There was certainly some ‘comic relief’ in the performance hall during lunchtime today, where a teachers’ karaoke thrilled the audience and raised a fantastic £225 in the process.
Students were able to purchase tickets for £1 to witness the starring staff perform like they’d never seen before!
History teacher Mr Campbell kicked off the show with his classic crooning of ‘My Way’; Mrs Swan belted out a fitting ‘Simply the Best’; Mr Anders was a real guitar hero with ‘Master of Puppets’; Ms Booker cultivated great audience participation with ‘Sweet Caroline’; and Ms Ledger strutted her stuff with ‘These boots are made for walking’.
Mr Campbell gave a bonus rendition of ‘I’m Just Ken’ before the audience responded with an enthusiastic sing-along of ‘Freed from Desire’ (Nan nan nan nan na na na…).
Student Participation Lead, Mrs Hill said, “Well done to our brilliant student Leadership Team for organising the event and the talented teachers for their performances – it’s sure to be talked about for years to come.”
If you’re able to donate to COMIC RELIEF, please do – help to bring happiness to others!
