Our A Level English students had a culture-packed few days in London before the half-term holiday…
DAY 1| Monday: After arriving at Euston Station, the wasted no time and visited the Design Museum, the British Library, went past Buckingham Palace and had a ghost bus tour.
DAY 2| Tuesday: It was another packed day where they spent the morning at The Globe doing a tour and workshop, then headed to The Clink Museum, Borough Market, followed by a boat tour on the Thames. The day was rounded-off with a theatre trip to see ‘Witness for the Prosecution’.
DAY 3| Wednesday: The day began at The Houses of Parliament for a tour of the history behind the building, meeting local MP Julie Minns. Ms Minns was kind enough to take the group down to see the crypt under the main hall – a part of the building tourists don’t usually see. Afterwards, the group headed to Camden, with by a team-building afternoon at The Crystal Maze, before some shopping time and finally ‘Back to the Future the Musical’.
DAY 4| Thursday: The final day of the trip entailed a walking tour of the city, clocking up over 14,000 steps!
