After a tense few weeks of exams, Year 11 were in celebration mode this morning as they gathered together one last time for their rite of passage shirt signing and final assembly.
The students were in a buoyant mood as they enjoyed brunch in the canteen before Miss Mulholland (Year 11 Director of Learning) led their farewell assembly. Along with humour-filled video messages from departments and ‘Tik Toks’ from their Form Tutors, there were amazing performances by Year 11 students Pheonix Reed, Nicole Todhunter and Arvin Jagota.
Miss Mulholland commented, “It’s been a privilege to lead the students for the last three years. I wish them all the best for the future – Make it happen Year 11!”
There was an extra goodbye too to the wonderful Year 11 Student Manager, Mrs Wood, who will be leaving WHS after more than 20 years of supporting our students. Thank you Mrs Wood!
(Special thanks goes to Year 11 Media student, Callum Turner for his technical assistance during the assembly).
