A huge congratulations to all of the Year 9 and 10 students who participated in the UK Maths Trust Intermediate Mathematical Challenge at the end of January. They all received a participation certificate with some of our students successfully achieving bronze, silver or gold certificates for attaining high scores.
Extra congratulations to Eduard Brisca who achieved Best in Year (Y9) and to Chris Jones who received a gold certificate and the Best in School score. Chris now goes thorough to the next round on Thursday this week.
Throughout the challenge, the students were exposed to a variety of complex questions that required the use of analytical and problem-solving skills (no calculators allowed!). To give you a flavour, here is one of the questions below, what do you think the answer is?
