As part of our ‘Character Curriculum’, the Year 9 Outdoor Learning group enjoyed some physical challenges today, helping to develop their problem-solving and teamworking abilities.
The yearlong course will cover key aspects of the outdoor learning environment including predicting the weather, developing a conservation area, and designing a piece of outdoor equipment through an innovate competition.
The students will be given the opportunity to take part in a range of outdoor activities from mountain biking to climbing and will prepare for an expedition in the Lakes, working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
