The amazing talent of our Drama, Dance and Performing Arts students was celebrated on Thursday (21st March) with their DADA Showcase. There was a packed audience for the performances which included an exciting mix of features from legendary shows such as: The 39 steps, Zero to Hero (from Hercules), A Chorus Line, Olympics, Cry Me a River, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent, Kinky Boots, Top Girls, and Peter Pan. The ages of the performers ranged from 11-18, with students from GCSE, A Level and BTEC courses as well as extracurricular Drama and Dance Clubs.
Curriculum Lead of Drama, Dance & Performing Arts, Ms Serrechia, said: “What a display of talent! From acting, singing and dancing – sometimes all at the same time. Some of our students in the showcase have never even performed in front of an audience before, not that you’d have guessed due to their professionalism on stage. There were too many highlights to mention. Our students never fail to amaze us with their commitment and dedication to being the best they can be.”
