Using the play ‘The Book of Dust’ by Philip Pullman as inspiration, Year 9 Technical Theatre students have been creating their very own ‘daemon’ puppets. In Pullman’s thrilling series of fantasy books, daemons are the physical manifestations of the souls of humans which assume the forms of animals.
Students were tasked to research and design their own animal daemons then used papier mâché and cardboard to bring their puppets to life.
Miss Inglesfield remarked: “I’m so impressed with the creativity and resilience the students shown throughout this project. They have created some amazing pieces.”
