Our Year 8 Outdoor Learning students enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Ullswater Outward Bound Centre last Tuesday. The day began with an engaging talk introducing the wide range of careers available within the outdoor and adventure sector. This session offered students valuable insight into potential future pathways and highlighted how outdoor learning can connect to real-world opportunities.
Following the talk, the group set off on a scenic 3‑mile walk from Patterdale to Silver Point along the Ullswater Way. Along the route, students paused for a picnic lunch while taking in the stunning views across Ullswater and reflecting on the morning’s learning.
