A group of our chess players faced nine opponents from Trinity School this afternoon, on home ground. The 9-v-9 was a very cordial but tense fixture, with each player getting the chance to take on several competitors from the opposing side. The games were rounded off with a fun speed-chess doubles match.
The final score was a close WHS 22 – Trinity School 19. Last time WHS played Trinity, Trinity won by a whitewash, so it was great to see the balance restored in such an enjoyable match!
