We have numerous students working hard towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, whether that’s gold, silver or bronze levels. As well as accomplishing challenging expeditions, physical, voluntary and skills sections must be fulfilled too.
To complete each award, significant commitment, motivation, independence and resilience is required, so we’re especially proud to hear news of some of our former students who, on completion of their Gold Awards, have attended special DofE Award events at Buckingham Palace to acknowledge their achievements. Congratulations to Josie and Lorna Mattinson, and Alice Beesley who, in May, attended the garden party at the palace hosted by Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Miss Harpham (our DoE Leader) and assisting members of staff for their commitment in supporting our students.
