At William Howard we firmly believe that student voice should be at the heart of our educational community. We are committed to empowering our students and ensuring that their perspectives and ideas are not only heard but valued.

Our Student Leadership Team, including the Head Students, play an integral role in driving whole school improvement and acting as ambassadors for our student community. They are the advocates for their fellow students, working closely with the Heads of House to create an environment where every young person has a voice. This commitment to student involvement not only enhances the quality of education but also fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility among our students, empowering them to actively contribute to the improvement of our school and their own educational experiences.

Students in Year 7 to 11 can develop their personal skills by undertaking a range of leadership opportunities from sports leader, literacy leader, reading coach, mental health ambassador, open spaces team leader, student librarian to being a member of the House Council supporting school events and being a wider student voice.
