As part of their first unit on local History, our Year 7 students have been investigating two conflicting interpretations of the Border Reivers. Many Cumbrians can trace their own origins to the Reivers and we have been exploring how historians have remembered them as either scoundrels or loveable rogues.
7X1 studied a high-level text and used their reading skills to find evidence to evaluate the two interpretations. As their final piece, they produced a summary of their findings as part of their homework. The work was so good, that their teacher, Mr Priddle, felt we should share the best examples with you!
The best work award went to Susie Roberts for an exceptional piece of work.
Honourable mentions also go to: Tilly Fielden, Harry Fitton, Lily Chung, Luca Read, Oscar Mitchell, Catherine Hogg and Caris Milsom.
Well done to all the whole class!
