As part of their Business Studies curriculum, Year 12 students recently engaged in hands-on market research by meeting with a range of local businesses. The aim was to gain insight into the current state of our local economy and understand how businesses are navigating today’s challenging financial climate.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to businesses including Steve Wilson Butcher, Cranston’s Foodhall, Brampton Travel, Mr Brown’s Coffee Shop, and Half Moon Wholefoods for generously giving their time to speak with our students. These business representatives shared valuable perspectives on how the rising cost of living has impacted their operations and what adaptations they have made to remain resilient.
Mrs Hill, Curriculum Leader for Business Studies, said: “This experience has provided a valuable opportunity for the students to connect classroom learning with real-world business practice, and we are grateful to all who contributed to making it a success”
The students will now compile their research findings into a comprehensive report, which they will present to their year group in the coming weeks.
