The residents of Greenlane House Care Home in Brampton were delighted today to receive handmade Christmas cards made by WHS students. Two residents, Margaret and Muriel, said that receiving the cards were heart-warming and they particularly liked the colours on the Christmas hat card. Another resident remarked that he couldn’t believe the students had spent their time making cards for them.
During the visit, the residents were dressed in their Christmas jumpers and members of our Student Leadership team who delivered the cards had drinks and mince pies with them, spending time listening to the residents’ stories and memories of their school days.
The Care Home Manager, Rachel said, “The cards will be displayed in bedrooms and as well as the lounge area. They are really appreciated, and will make a huge difference to those that received them.”
