Our Year 7 students were able to visit their very own Open Spaces Christmas Fair this afternoon.
The Performance Hall was filled with stalls and activities (many of which with a sustainability message) for them to ponder and participate in, including…
Urban Village Retro (upcycling crafts) – Sustainable Brampton – Zoe Heart Xmas Textiles – Tyne Valley Railway Project – Hospice at Home Book Stall – Cake Sale – Victorian Christmas Kitchen – Christmas Card Making – Festive Bouquet and Garland making – Pincushion making.
A German Christmas Traditions and Food Tasting stand was hosted by our Year 8 German Language students, while Year 8 Business students offered games and tasty treats.
The highlight for many were the elf-guided visits to see Santa and Dobby the Shetland pony.
A big thank you to all the store holders who came along; to Mrs Booker (our Open Spaces Lead); and to the Year 8 students who helped to run the activities. £470 was raised to help fund the installation of handwashing facilities in our Open Spaces area.
