24 Year 10 students visited BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness on Thursday, where they took part in various workshops and tours to learn about careers in the nuclear submarine industry.
During the visit, they participated in hands-on activities, including an escape room challenge which focused on fields such as engineering, computing, and project management.
The students also had the chance to meet apprentices and hear about their roles and training paths. These insights offered a glimpse into the exciting career opportunities available in these industries. The day culminated in a visit to the harbour, where students viewed a submarine in the water and learned more about the submarine launch process.
