As part of our Character Curriculum, the Year 9 Dance group are exploring the world looking at different styles and where they originate. So far, they have been to India looking at Bollywood dance, Paris to learn the Cancan and this week they were lucky enough to have former WHS student and the current British champion of Irish dancing, Lydia Howdon, come in to work on some hard shoe Irish dancing.
Miss Serrechia was really proud of the dancers and their resilience in learning this new style. Thank you to A Level dancer Joe, who supported the lesson.
A big thank you to Lydia for sharing her expertise! Lydia runs Irish classes here in Brampton, so if anyone is keen to continue their learning, please see Miss Serrechia for more information.
