Groups of Year 11 Geographers carried out field investigations at the Silloth coast this week. As part of the Geography GCSE, all students are required to complete two days of fieldwork. The first day of fieldwork comprised human geography and took place in Carlisle. This fieldwork covered physical geography with the students collecting data to find out what effects coastal processes are having on the coastline and why humans strive to ‘manage’ these natural forces.
