The Year 8 boys football team produced an excellent level of performance at the City Tournament on Tuesday, missing out on the final by one goal. In the group stage they beat RRMA 2-1 with goals from Dan Hare & Frazer Phillips. After a 0-0 draw with QEGS they needed a 7-0 win to have a chance of progressing to the final. In an exciting match, they managed an outstanding 6-0 with three shots of the post or bar! Although disappointing not to reach the final, it was a great first fixture of the season and they will now have matches in the City, County and National Cups.
